A Little Manual called Life

In this tangled web of life,
To laugh with abandon and sheer delight
To live life, in every sense, till the twilight,
Free as a bird and noisy as storm
Sensible enough to not conform

A beacon of love and a scathing blaze
To the humble and the extreme,
To learn from the wise and to bear the conceited
To have opinions but to not uphold ‘em as supreme

Oh Lord, I ask only this and nothing more
Grant me that and I’ll set out to explore
