Gone are the days, but not the memories!
Gone are the days which were fully fun-packed, with so many friends,
Gone are the days when we never used to do homework, but always managed to escape,
Gone are the days when we liked staying away from class,
Gone are the days of annual cultural celebrations,
and the one-month long preparations.
Gone are the days of those, not so wanted exams,
which were managed with almost no preparation.
Gone are the days when we hurried out of school,
to occupy those corner seats of our school buses.
Gone are the days when
we learnt, we enjoyed, we played, we won, we lost,
we laughed, we cried, we fought, we thought.
But not the memories,
which shall always be the greatest treasures of our lives.
After all, “Memory… is the diary that we all carry about with us.”
