Anna – The People’s Champion

  • SumoMe

When India was busy celebrating the historic world cup win, a man was deep in thought about his country. He was disturbed with the idea of living in a corrupt nation which was never the aim of our leaders who laid the foundation stones on which our country stands today.

Anna Hazare the name speaks all. One man led the whole army and intertwined the country on a political issue which was a far-fetched idea. In a country where people try not to be a part of a political issue saw a major change. The whole nation was brought to a jerk by a very simple but yet a very powerful act. A do or die fast to protect HINDUSTAN and the HINDUSTANIS from its hidden terrorists. Terrorists – the corrupt so called leaders of India, who like leeches, are sucking the blood of every individual of our country.

Why I call Anna the people’s champion?

The reason is obvious! When was the last time we saw everyone be it a school going child or a 65 year old man worried and talking over the same topic? Was it during the Indian polls? Even the polls don’t succeed in bringing the nation alive.

No, it was Anna and his sacrifice that brought them together at one place. The whole nation stood together, lending their support from Jammu & Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Anna is the people’s champion and indeed more than that. Everyone saw a bright flame inside them that was willing to come out and join the quest to chase away the intruders who are destroying our country in the name of serving the people.

“The more we sweat in peace the less we bleed in war. “
~ Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit

Anna Hazare seems to believe and practice this very saying. A true believer of Gandhi and his thoughtful philosophies. And not to forget many could see a glimpse of Mahatma Gandhi in this very simple and innocent 71 year old fellow who had the courage to stand up and voice his concern without being bothered about his life.

Even the most powerful ruling party was compelled to take action. Because it knew if not today, then there could be a huge revolution in the country.

Indeed there came a wave of revolution. REVOLUTION in thoughts and ideas. REVOLUTION in not submitting to the powerful. And all this happened just because of Mr. Hazare and his efforts. It is he who taught us to stand. It is he who taught us to fight. It is he who taught us to keep going even when we are alone.

“We look forward to the time when the Power of Love will replace the Love of Power.  Then will our world know the blessings of peace. “
~ William Ewart Gladstone

A tribute and heartfelt thanks to the man whose selfless effort has brought a wave of change in India.

Jai ho!
