Azurro: A Restaurant Review

Located in one of the oldest and most frequented movie complexes, PVR Saket, Azurro has a very attractive location to its credit. Along with it comes the responsibility of utilising this opportunity well. And I must say that Azzurro leaves no stone unturned in impressing its customers. So if you are an Italian cuisine lover, Azzurro is the place to head to for a finger licking experience!

The white décor with vibrant coloured lamps hanging on the walls speaks volumes of the sophistication of this Italian kitchen with a Mediterranean touch. The minimalist interiors only add charm to the place and make it look wide, airy and well lit. The spacious place is well used with tables placed at an ample distance of each other. So just sit back with a glass of wine and there are delectable fresh salads, pastas and stone oven pizzas in the menu to satiate your appetite.

We have found ourselves complaining several times over meagre portions of highly priced dishes. But, this restaurant takes care of that. The serving portions are very sumptuous. I assure you that you will not leave the restaurant with even a millimetre of empty space in your stomach! Now what makes the food so special and delectable; it is the magic of fresh herbs and vegetables, best quality ingredients, finely cut vegetables and their well experienced master chef who has graduated from the very famous Le Cordon Bleu.

The drinks here are also value for money. I had one of the best made mojitos here while my company also praised of the apple martini. The strawberry shake is also lip smacking. The other usuals like screwdrivers, vodka, beer and mocktails are also on the menu. In case if you are going to this place after catching a movie, don’t dump your movie tickets for you can get a 15-20% discount on showing your tickets. The place also remembers the anniversaries and birthdays of its members and makes them feel special with a free bottle of wine and a cake. Isn’t that an amazing way to make its regulars feel truly special on their special days!

The food menu is also replete with delicious delicacies ranging from sandwiches to salads to pastas to lasagne to pizzas and to desserts. The crepes with pestos, the cheesy creamy lasagne, pizza with sun dried tomatoes are to name a few. The pastas are also quite good and can be altered according to the taste. In the dessert section, Tiramisu and Chocolate Fondue are not to be missed.

While talking of this place, a special mention of their staff and the service definitely deserves a special mention. The staff is extremely courteous, polite and non meddlesome. Moreover, they are always more than happy to help out the customers with the menu and their suggestions prove to be quite wonderful. It is one of the best places to go and have a relaxed, cosy lunch/dinner with your loved ones. With no parking issues, do not hesitate to take out your car or worry about the parking spaces. On weekends, during dinner time it is preferable to book a table before hand. Though the prices are on the expensive side, considering the portions and the taste I’m sure no is going to complain! So if you are hanging out in the PVR complex and Italian cuisine is what you have on mind, do not even bat an eyelid, just head to Azzurro right away for gastronomically delightful experience!
