Analysing DU’s New Four Year UG Course

It’s hardly been two years since the much opposed semester system was implemented in Delhi University (DU). This past session has seen the second batch of students under the three year “semester system” course, and DU already has plans to scrap the three year B.A. or B.Sc courses and start a Four Year Undergraduate Course (FYUC). During the FYUC, students of DU will have to study an extra year to get an honours degree whereas students in other universities receive their degrees in three years.

Rainy Blues

The weather is not as predictable as we would believe it to be. Take yesterday as an example. The whole day the sun was bright and it was a normal warm day. Homophobia: India

Homosexuality is a topic smothered in discomfort in our nation. Be it in our college, community, household, and even social gatherings, people still treat it as a disease and pass judgments. Not only are these people narrow-minded, they are very opinionated about something that doesn’t concern them. Posting abusive statements, publicly making fun, and lecturing ‘loved’ ones who are homosexuals, our people just don’t learn.

The truth, as I later realised, is that India consists of only three kinds of people – the common man (one of the 89.8 percent Indians who do not have the luxury of a blog), the man who thinks he is common, a.k.a., the “consumer” class, and the common inhu-man, known better as the “political” class.
