On Tuesday, Baba Ramdev tilted the balance in favour of the government by opening up the issue of the prime minister and the higher judiciary coming under the ambit of the Lokpal, the sore point in the negotiations over the draft bill. Do you support his view?
A nationwide movement sparked-off when Anna Hazare decided to fast unto death for a corruption free India. Talks, Negotiations and Meetings haven’t ended since then and Baba Ramdev is all geared-up to stockpile repute for his upcoming political structure. With demands planning to surpass Anna’s vision, his call not only reflects the growing tendency to promote personal prejudices in the guise of anti-corruption crusade but also the reckless confidence in the civil society that the government could be arm-twisted at will.
With USA conducting, what is considered to be a successful oversees army operation; most of the American citizens think the world would be a better place to live, while others think of it as a desperate effort on Barack Obama’s part to stay in the office for next 5 years.

Do you think the bill would be effective in curbing violence and restoring communal peace?
Agitation has become perennial, credit for that goes to faulty land acquisition law. Amidst political squabble the prime stakeholder, ‘Farmer’s ‘plight is worsening continuously. To gainfully utilize the Protest what we are witnessing is competitive Protagonism by all and sundry political leaders. What we require is that the political class must show vision in this regard.
Do you support the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) and the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS)? Then why not give some of your time to help make it work?
In an important step forward in the global strategic partnership between India and the United States, Home Minister P Chidambaram and Secretary of the US Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano met on Friday. The US has given India full access to the witness and when the case is over there will probably be more access given. Do you think the Indo-US partnership is partnership is going to intensify in the months and years to come?
The economists at Standard Chartered Bank, have put out a research report in which they see India emerging a “winner in the current global super-cycle” despite its many deficiencies like mass poverty, rotten infrastructure, massive corruption and imbalanced sex-ratio to name a few. Though it’s too early to celebrate India’s climb onto this supercycle, wg=here do you…the youth of India…see our country 10 years down the line?
