Flash Fiction Competition

The Viewspaper Fiction Section brings to you—its first Flash Fiction Competition! We like a good laugh here in the Fiction Section, and we want your own unique style of humour that leaves us gasping for more! So this is an open challenge for all tongue-in-cheek smooth talkers and cynical selves, sardonic swaggerers and prudish prim men (and women). We are looking for entries that are a little crazed, wacked and it helps if they’re original. Open the cellar doors to your fertile imaginations and send us however many entries you want. Unleash that amused irreverence you’ve secretly concealed, and don’t shy away from spoofing either. Give us different takes on one topic or on all three. Chances are, you might win. Chances are, you will surprise yourself.

The Three Categories are:

  • Suicide Note
  • Love Letter Writing
  • Break-up note
