When a hungry being has something edible…it turns out to be the most delicious “something” he ever had!
That is how important and fulfilling it is to have anything when you’re hungry.
A very well known phrase that goes around is, “You are what you eat”…defining both your state of health, as well as of your mind. It is for many, important not just to satisfy the need for it, but to give them power (mentally & physically), to pass time or just fall in to temptation.
For some it is their life and by that I don’t mean someone who loves munching and gulping, but the people who make it so delectable; yes, chefs, home- makers and who believe in food for fun.
This amazing existence of food has brought millions of families together, who cook together, bake together and most important of all, exchange life stories between themselves & friends.
They create hundreds of jobs and bring inspiration to a billion civilians through those people who work day and night. The experience is equally wonderful and the best part is that it is different every time!
Chaat that you have on the street will be very different from the one you have in the mall. What is to be kept in mind is not only the taste but the environment in which you eat.
Sipping tea at a cafe will not be the same as “slurping” tea at the dhaba. But the fact of the matter is whether at a hotel or a motel…food will always hit us in the heart and the stomach.
Some foods are also the pride and joy of various regions that they belong to.
All in all, we cannot survive without it; not just because food is imperative for our survival, but because food defines who we are and many a times where we come from.
