  • Sehwag’s 219 in the recently concluded ODI series was the highest individual score in the History of International Cricket by an Indian, surpassing Tendulkar’s previous best of 200 runs! His double ton helped the country cruise past a massive 400 runs, thus scoring the highest ever team total as well! Sehwag’s innings was not merely blatant hitting, it was a carefully planned innings comprising of 25 fours and 7 sixes!

  • The Little Master’s 200 runs against South Africa in Gwalior is the 2nd highest individual score! The innings comprised of 25 fours and 3 sixes! His brilliant innings helped the Country score a massive total of 400 runs! India as a result of the brilliant batting pulverized the Proteas by 153 runs!

  • Charles Coventry’s 196 runs against Bangladesh is the 3rd highest individual score in the History of International Cricket! Coventry bailed the Zimbabweans out of trouble when their top order collapsed for a paltry nothing! He tore into the Bangladesh bowling line-up, and scored a massive 194! Unfortunately his effort was unable to bring his Country home!

  • Saeed Anwar’s 194 against India in the 1997 Independence Cup in Chennai is the 4th highest individual total in the World! This helped Pakistan soar to a huge total of 327 runs! India lost this game by 35 runs, after being bowled out for 292!

  • The Great Vivian Richards holds the record for scoring the 5th highest individual runs in ODI cricket! In the 1984, bilateral series against England, the West Indian ‘biggy’ smashed the English all around the park and contributed majorly to the his teams mammoth total of 272 runs! West Indies defeated the English by 104 runs!
