Wrapped up in our own worlds,
We somehow fail to see;
What the world outside,
Has come out to be;
We fail to explore, to search and find;
The true potential of the human mind;
Is it really this easy, to be selfish and vain?
To refuse to open our eyes and see the world’s pain?
I wonder sometimes, how good it would be,
If people could just let go of their vanity;
And dare to be different,
A cut above the rest,
And try to think, not just for themselves, but also for the rest.
