Inception – A Movie Review

Inception is a science fiction film written, produced and directed by Christopher Nolan. It took 10 yrs to Nolan to create this masterpiece.

Inception is based on the technology which enables a connect between minds of different people when they are in their subconscious state or dreaming. It is the story of Dom Cobb (played by Leonardo Dicaprio), a thief who steals ideas and secrets from the subconscious mind of people while they are asleep for his clients. He is brilliant at his job. He faces his toughest challenge when he is hired by Satio (played by Ken Watanabe) to do an Inception in exchange of a chance to get back life he always wanted to have with his children.

But this time instead of extracting an idea his job is to plant one in a person`s mind. Satio wants him to plant an idea in his business rival Robert Fischer (played by Cillian Murphy) mind to dissolve his father`s empire. Cobb finds the finest people with Authur (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) to work as a team. He hires a Forger (played by Tom Hardy) who can alter his identity in dreams, Yusuf (played by Dileep Rao) a sedative chemist who give them drugs needed to keep the people in subconscious state for a fixed amount of time and Ariadne (played by Ellen Page) an architect to design dream worlds.

In the first half Cobb explains how the thing works and the time difference in the dream and the real world. He also goes on to illustrate what happens if someone dies in the dream and how to wake up a person from a dream and how a person can get stuck in limbo. In the movie you can see Cobb is carrying a top or totem as he calls it, he tells us how it helps to know whether you are still dreaming or are in the real world. But things get messed up because of his wife Mal (played by Marion Cotillard) who keeps appearing in his subconscious state while he is performing his job that`s why he tells Ariadne not to show her designs to him or else his wife will come to know about the plan. He planned to carry out the job in three-layered dreams so that he can get more time to execute the job perfectly.

Unlike any other film it does not revolve around the main star but in this particular story the writer has focused on each character very smartly, all the characters have performed well. DiCaprio looks brilliant as a leader and have done justice to his character. In some scenes you will love to see the emotional chemistry between Cobb and her wife Mal. You can see some jaw dropping stunts while explaining and performing the job like the fight scene in hotel corridor with zero gravity is amazing and the city folding scene is itself a treat to one’s eyes. It proves that Nolan knows perfectly how to play with a camera.

The story is very well constructed and yes it is bit complicated and takes time to understand the concept and how it works and keeps the auditions on their toes .It’s a very intelligent movie and if you are going for the movie I will suggest you to take your mind with you, it’s not meant for the absent-minded people and it will surely going to blow your mind.

It`s the most amazing film I have seen in a long time. I couldn’t find any flaws in the movie is simply amazing, I am going for 5 out of 5 for the brilliant masterpiece by Christopher Nolan.
