Gaming has never been better and more fun. And to provide more comfort to today’s gamers, Logitech has brought out a new invention – the Logitech Gaming Headset G330. This invention is yet another feather in Logitech’s cap, after umpteen inventions of gaming peripherals, ranging from mice, keyboard to other accessories.
So what is so special about this headset? Well, this headset gives its users a personalised fit with its behind-the-head design. But even more importantly, this headset can cancel out noise! Wondering what this means? Well, the G330 has a noise-cancelling microphone which removes all the annoying background noise and gives you the choice to listen to clear and intelligible commands about the game. And of course, it also fulfils its traditional role of allowing you to blast your speakers as loud as possible, without disturbing people around you.
The headset is more commonly used for playing games on the PS3. Some very popular games which can be played better using the headset include Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty – World of War and many other such games which include a first person and a third person shooter. These games today are highly popular among the young and the old.
Even for someone like me, who does not play computer games, this headset does seem quite innovative and useful to the millions playing video games. But the best is yet to come! The headset, unlike most games peripherals, is not very heavy! With this headset, there’s no need to worry about one more heavy equipment to carry around. Made up of silicon-lined headband, the headset is adjustable, easy to use and very comfortable too.
When it comes to connecting it to your PC and using it, this Logitech Headset allows you to use either a USB connection or 3.5mm analogue connection using a USB adapter. Not too complicated to fix up, even a beginner at gaming will be able to figure it out.
However, it does have some shortcomings too. When it comes to the sound quality, the headset is only fair and does not set apart itself from other headsets. It is disappointing if gamers are looking for the surround sound effect because that is something the headset lacks in. Also, the fit is something people find hard to get used to. Some gamers feel that the headset gets uncomfortable ‘every five to ten minutes’, which really is not something gamers would enjoy.
Gaming is fun and entertaining and can keep one occupied for hours together. Though accessories to make the whole gaming process more comfortable keep coming up, anything in excess can be harmful to the human body. However, all said and done, this is a headset with a difference. It comes with the best features using the best technology, but at the same time, easy and comfortable to use. Priced in India at Rs. 2995, this is one invention which will be exploited massively by all gamers.
