Mahima Kaur Writes a Letter to the Prime Minister

Dear Sir,

My suggestion would be to make our systems more approachable to the youth and children. For the many years of experience, I have been working with young adults and children. I have seen that they have an acute sense of justice, a strong will to act,  a free mind to re-imagine possibilities, and an understanding that many systems need to be changed and lots of energy to do so.

We need to channelize all this energy into meaningful actions where we can collaborate with the youth and create new systems of being. Be it policy making or government projects, youth and children need to be included in design as well as action. Their inputs would take us way farther, than we would go without them.

When I say this, I do not just mean we need to superficially include them in future plans, but I mean that the grants, collaborative projects, portals and much more need to be started ASAP where the youth and children take responsibility and do lots of work for the community in collaboration with the government.

Please make this happen. Young adults are more than ready to make a difference. Real and accessible opportunities need to be provided by the government for them to do so.

Warm Regards,
Mahima Kaur
