Mark and Priscilla who met at a fraternity party back while they were students in Harvard. They married each other in 2012. They announced their pregnancy this year in July, in a rather pensive and personal Facebook post, as Mark spoke about having gone through three miscarriages as a couple. He did so since he felt that talking about his experience would help other people who are going through the same thing.

Zuckerberg has been in the spot light since he announced that he would be taking two months of paternity leave, setting an example for many people working in high-stress environments at levels like his own. The decision was not a usual one for someone of his stature, considering he is one of the most visible CEO’s of all time.

Last month Facebook announced extending its paternity leave policy to 4 months, for all male employees for all around the world.

Priscilla too will be taking an undisclosed period of maternity leave from her job as practicing pediatrician and CEO of The Primary School. She launched the free private school along with Mark earlier this year. This new model combines education and healthcare for underprivileged children.

Once again Mark and Priscilla proved it’s all about setting your priorities straight and giving back to the society as a social and moral responsibility.

Benevolence is the mark of a strong and sound moral conscience. For, there isn’t anything more fulfilling than giving generously to the people who need it most.
