Melting Watches

  • SumoMe

Weary eyes, they close to a brilliant light

an azure sunset, tinted with pink and white

blue sky and blue sea, come together and shine

and my tired mind melts, is lost to time…

Puckered lids, coarse brown and oaken face

blue veined hands like branches, breasts sans grace

conjuring dreams, memories of a beauty divine

and my tired mind melts, is lost to time…

Rotting pains and scars, of wounds old and deep

thoughts sucked on by insects… parasites that creep

Ah me I can see! Sunlight purest and fine

and my tired mind melts, is lost to time…

Criss cross coral patterns on my emaciated skin

angst, disease and solitude, consumes me from within

I have reached the cliff of my life and crime

and my tired mind melts, is lost to time…

Songs of the wind, spray of the sea, colours of nature

are now lost to me, for I am a transient creature

my deeds lay on judgement, the dark abyss looms

and my tired mind closes… shuts in eternal gloom

Time has not stood still, it has melted

and beneath, in the lap of my mother… melt I.
