Losing sight

in the growing mist

retreating into a borrowed shell

of cold..soaked passivity..

The mourning silver cloud streak

slashes tender sun wrists,

and the red sky bleeds it’s love,

upon the deep blue sea

that lies at it’s feet…

drop by drop

the red loses itself within the unknown blue…

the stillness of the midday heat,

seeps into the sunset

As I watch

from a crack in the shell

the salty air of regret

hurting my eyes…
