@ Astik/Bhumi: Image 2 & Image 4 must evoke a strong sense of deja vu for any Indian!

@ Jessica: Your photos of Indian/Delhi Roads show such well behaved traffic that they could be used by the govt. for promos! LOL! [:)]

@ ALL: Nice stuff!

i knew wen i would go on leave the quality of pictures would really increase.
astik - sense and sensibilities amaze
bhumi - some really clever and neat shooting
jessica - i dnt which part of delhi is it?? certainly not one that i hav been to or rather driven in.
but jokes apart amazing stuff….
really sad i missed it.

CHINU on January 14th, 2008 at 2:54 pm |

Jess..u cud have explored and ventured more…!

Rashmi on January 14th, 2008 at 6:19 pm |

i really like bhumi’s work, she has actually captured the people and the traffic, in quaint, simple pictures..

astik’s pictures have been few, but i like them for their poltical messages..intelligent take

and jessica has been able to find beauty by use of symmetry etc even in everyday, mechanical frenzy of delhi roads.

Ashmi on January 15th, 2008 at 12:54 am |

Hey..All your work is so insightful. This is so much more than mechanics and transportation-it’s moving life. great work!

Astik Sinha on January 16th, 2008 at 12:24 am |

okay, first and foremost…great photos all of them ! really insightful and innovatively explored…every photographer has his/her own strengths…
Bhumi: i love the way youve dealt with the theme , transport ina city like ours means not only cars or bikes etc but anything and everything that can bear ppl and move :) its therefore great to see that captured and thought of in your photos, my favorite however is the black and white of the little girl in the auto.Ppl are a very important part of transport and youve brought that out vividly through your work…good work

Jessica: i love all your night pictures. The lights have come out brilliant and also your photos have a sense of time and movement which is unique, also remarkable is your attempt to go inside and shoot transport from inside a bus (thats my favorite photo) there is a similarity to bhumi’s attempt to capture transport as a people’s thing…great work as always

aastik: i love the photo of the beggar witha disfigured arm in front of the car. how transport and how it works constantly reinforces divisons that exsist in a city…i think your photos are artistic as well as communicative…
