The Aamir Khan-starrer, PK has created a wave of intrigue with respect to the film’s posters that have been releasing in gaps. The producers have made sure to keep the film’s storyline enclosed in utmost secrecy, with no hint whatsoever to what the story might cover.
As a result of the cagey plot of PK, lot speculations regarding the storyline of the movie are doing the circles. While some believe that Aamir will be playing the role of an alien, others think that the film is a satirical take on Hindu Gods and godsmen. The movie has other big names to its star-cast like Anushka Sharma, Boman Irani, Sanjay Dutt and Sushant Singh. But so far, the infinitesimal sneak-peek into the film in stills have not featured any of the other casts. This probably is a clue that the movie, like most other Aamir-starrer films, will be centered on him, with other actors playing a supporting role.
The film is a directional work of Rajkumar Hirani who has previously worked wonders with films like Munna Bhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munna Bhai and 3 Idiots. With their magnificent success at the box, these films surely tip-offs PK to be another blockbuster under the Hirani name. The movie is set to be released on December 19, 2014, but so far neither the trailer, nor a teaser has unveiled.
With the revelation of only the three stills, the audience is already looking forward towards its release. Last year, even before the opening day, Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 was declared the biggest hit of 2013. With the kind of intrigue revolving around PK, it could most certainly be headed towards a similar path as well.
Let’s have a look at the three interesting poster of PK featuring Aamir.
This was the first look of PK that came out to the public. Though not an official poster, the picture is quite interesting. Firstly, it challenges the gender stereotype of the way men are supposed to dress. Not only is Aamir in a Lehenga (Indian dress for women), but a bright yellow with pink bordered Lehenga with sequence.
This was the first official poster of PK that was released. It became a target of much controversy with Aamir standing nude on the railway track. It managed to receive a lot of attention along with having an intriguing impact on the audience. This poster features Aamir with the vintage cassette player that he is seen carrying even in the previous picture. This tells us that the cassette player could be an integral part to the plot of the movie.
Yet another interesting picture: This is the second official picture of the film which was released yesterday. Aamir is seen wearing the traditional Gujarati dress. Though he isn’t carrying the cassette player which is featured in the previous two pictures of Aamir, the trumpet serves to be another interesting prop.
Not only are the posters and the props used intriguing, but the confused look and expression that Aamir carries in each of these pictures also has much to say about the film; at the same time, they also manage to leave the audience blankly puzzled.
