Portrait Of A Uniformed Man

  • Sharebar

On a military bed
one legged

My pal
with lost twin arms
Eyes see our dismantled bodies
as treasure of Tutankhamen.

“I got this when lost right arm and
this, when it hit me here,”
A voice comes.

Chests swell and pledge
to tread the scarlet path
Where medals reciprocate limbs,
reciprocate life,
Through knitted pawns
In green,

Vijay Kandpal
