Dear Dr. Manmohan Singh,
First of all I’d like to appreciate you for one thing, which is your patience and will power. Even after being criticized for so many things so many times, you stand like a mountain taking it in a stride. And while I am saying that in my full seriousness, I’d like to ask you the reason for that? Not the criticism as that I know very well, but the patience and the silence. As far as I know, you are as human as any one of us and even a more intelligent one at that. I still haven’t forgotten the economic reforms you brought to the country and how you stepped in when we were in a crisis. Then why can’t you take a stand now?
I won’t mock you for your silence; neither will I bash you for late execution of Kasab or all the corruption India is facing. As I am pretty sure many people are already doing it. But if I am getting a chance to write this open letter thanks to the PM JI Samjho Ji initiative, I will definitely like to ask a reason for why you can’t put forward your opinion and use the powers you have, when we all know that you can!
The image of politics in India is bad due to the bad politicians and you were never one of them. We’ve had people like APJ Abdul Kalam and Atal Bihari Vajpayee who have proudly raised the Indian flag in many matters and put their opinion strongly when required. You still have a chance to do that. Why do you think you got a second chance as Indian PM when we had other options? That’s because people know you and still wanted to believe in you. And instead of proving us right, you gifted us with Kasab, 3G scam and CWG Scam. I am not holding you responsible, but I also think if you had a say, they could have been prevented.
And it’s not the end, there can be more. And they CAN be prevented. Kindly think about it. As that is something you’re pretty good at. If you are too embarrassed to say it, then tell someone like Rahul Gandhi or Narendra Modi or even Shashi Tharoor for heaven’s sake. They will atleast tweet about it!
I wish I could say I am done, but this is just a start of what all I wanted to say. I am pretty hopeful that we’ll meet someday. I’d prefer when you’re not the PM as that time you’ll be able to talk like Dr. Manmohan singh and not the prime minister. I want the mind of a scholar doing wonders to the country. Not the mind of a rookie politician to be controlled by someone else and being manipulated like a puppet.
I have written about you a lot, and sadly, I too have mocked you many times. Some of them you can see here.
I once wrote you a small letter as well
I think India really needs six lane roads like west.
Two for vehicles, one for the stray dogs and cows, one for the so-called street racers, one for the everlasting baratis and bands, and lastly, One for our respected leaders
A common man stuck in traffic jam”
Maybe this was just the anger of everyone, but you need to know this.
You have the time, you have the power, and believe it or not, but you do have the support. It’s a country of a 1000 million. If you know what to do, there can never be a wrong time.
