Quietened by my inhibitions
Dropped the pen and paper.
Constant recollections, deeper introspection
Widened horizons, questioning my existence,
Is “the me” what you want to see ME?
Haunting parasitic images appear
Settling dependency, unlike I see;
Happiness a distant relative.
Subdued thoughts, overpowering emotions;
Blinded following, leading to continuous misery.
An old house, experienced and jeopardised,
Revealing none to the world, I hum and I cry.
