The AIESEC Delhi IIT – Youth to Business Forum

The world’s largest youth run organization is all set to merge the youth with, to explore the topics of leadership, innovation and corporate responsibility. This 27th at The India Islamic Cultural Centre, 87 – 88, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi – 110 003, The Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales a.k.a. AIESEC is making an effort to bridge the gap between the youth and the corporate sector through a “Social Innovation Competition” based on the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

The competition requires every participant to present an innovative business plan on any one of the United Nations’ 8 Millennium Development Goals. In that case, the business plan need to be looked at not only from the profit perspective but also at social development by halving extreme poverty to halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing universal primary education etc.

The entries would be looked at by leaders like Mr. Girish Johar – Vice President, ERICSSON, Mr. Rajiv Chandran – National Information Officer, United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan, Ms. Sagarika Bose – Vice President- Research, NASSCOM Foundation, Mr. Digbijoy Shukla – Director, Ennovent, Ms. Kamini Kinger – Director, National Social Entrepreneurship Forum, Mr. Shishir Sharan – CEO, reqSmart and Mr. Ajay Khanna – President, Jubiliant Life Sciences. The best entries may find financial sustainability from any of the venture capitalists present at the event. Undoubtedly, it is a lifetime opportunity for the budding entrepreneurs to realize their dreams

The “Social Innovation Competition” is the featured highlight of The Youth to Business Forum, 2011, established by AIESEC. This year, the forum is targeting the theme of Social Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the United Nations and would hold workshops and panel discussions by business leaders in their respective fields. Apart from the UN, the event may boast of having Ericsson (Title Sponsors), NASSCOM (Knowledge Partners), TiE (Network Partners), Youth ki Awaaz & The Viewspaper (Youth Outreach Partners), LiveMedia (Outdoor Media Partners) and International Conference and Exhibition Services among other partners.
