The grass is greener on the other side. Just wonder how true and apt this statement is. All our lives, we believe that we are the ones who have been troubled with the maximum number of problems, and others are at ease, relatively. Easier to say, however, this is how it has been always.
Remember when you tried your best, and ended up being second to someone. Think of the time when you wanted that birthday present but couldn’t, because of monetary issues. All of these times, you looked at others and wished you were there, in their shoes, you would have also got the same rewards, or may be less pain and suffering.
Having said that, the statement “The grass is greener on the other side” makes so much sense. We always feel that we are the one-stop destination for all the wrongs, and all the rights in the world happen to others. Well, no matter how mature we may have become, we still get this fact wrong. God is unbiased towards all his creations, and even if it’s an ant, there would be no injustice.
When we are troubled with our problems, and look at others who are smiling, we forget to notice that behind those smiles might be a heart that is crying and using the smile to masquerade it. After all, the ones who smile the most, are the ones who have borne the brunt of destiny, the most!
Someone rightly said, “If for a moment, we throw our pile of problems and decide to look at others, we would, perhaps grab our own.”
A statement which speaks volumes about the truth of life. Life comes with its share of problems and hurdles, which need to be overcome with a smiling face and a never-dying will, rather than a heart full of grievances. It’s not bad to cry your heart out once in a while, but to say why me, every time a problems comes up is not only unfair on our part but also asking for too much care from God. We never had the same question when everything seemed smooth.
Life unfurls at its own pace, and gifts are stored for everyone at appropriate intervals. It is just a matter of time that someone gets his rewards faster than others while some have to wait, with faith in heart.
Some moments are so precious to us that they are to be procured after enduring some pains, some dejection, some sufferings, but the eternal bliss lies in the moment when the happiness is reached even after that. And HE, up there, wants to see that euphoria, that joy for which he has made you wait for long enough.
So, the next time, you are faced with a problem, just think that it is not only you who are troubled, or even if you are, then it is God’s way of letting you know. Prepare yourself for the best by facing the worst. Life isn’t that bad, and then you have God too!
