In the last twelve months, we’ve witnessed online security breaches at the highest level. Sony’s valuable data was reportedly hacked by North Korean experts in protest against a movie that ridicules North Korean Leader, Kim Jong-un, much to the distress of President Obama.
You’d be living under a rock if you aren’t aware of the infamous iCloud photo leaks that targeted celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Kim Kardashian, and Scarlett Johansson and a host of other world famous personalities. In the age of the internet, having a weak password could get you in trouble with your partners, parents or boss! Recently SplashData (leading supplier of security applications and services) released a list of the “25 most popular passwords of 2014”. The organization analyzed 3.3 million passwords that trickled out into the public last year. This list proves that not everyone is innovative when it comes to setting passwords. I’m sure we can think of better passwords “123456” and “dragon”. There are some rather ironic ones on the list too like “letmein” and “trustno1”.

We do realize that a lot of sites ask for 7-10 characters for your password. But why not spend sixty-seconds and come up with a creative one rather than regretting it later, right?
