Karan Johar owned Dharma Productions has released its much awaited Ungli’s trailer; as can be seen, Ungli is nothing like any of Karan Johar’s previous films. While Johar has mostly dealt with romantic-comedies and drama films in the past, Ungli’s trailer showcases a film that deals with a problem that is deeply enrooted in India: Corruption.

The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Neil Bhoopalam, Kangana Ranaut, and Angad Bedi as the members of the gang “Ungli” (finger) with the motto “it’s time to show them the finger”, who decide to fight corruption, while Sanjay Dutt plays the cop in-charge of putting an end to the gang, Ungli. When doing the right thing doesn’t get you the expected result, take the wrong turn; this is what the Ungli gang has done.

Drawing from the trailer, the film also seems to embody subtle humour that complements the film just right. The actors have put up brilliance in the trailer and the same is only expected out of the film as well; Sanjay Dutt however has stolen the screen with his excellent portrayal of the violent cop that he plays.

Rensil D’Silva’s direction in the past with Kurbaan and his flair for getting a hard-hitting screenplay in Rang De Basanti have been superb and nothing less is expected from him with Ungli as well. Kangana Ranaut looks glamorously sizzling, the look of all the guys also seems to have come out pretty well.

You can watch the trailer below:

As 2014 is hurrying towards its end, great Bollywood films, some commercial and others with hard-hitting plots, are lined up for release. Haider, Bang Bang, Ungli, and PK are few of the movies that are being awaited with high expectations. Hopefully these films do not end up disappointing the fans as has been the case with many other films that were hyped to let the audience down.
